Simon Murray BSc CEng FCGI FICE – Chairman
Simon joined the Group Board in July 2003 as a Non-Executive Director before taking on the role of Chairman in October 2003. Simon is a civil engineer and has held senior executive positions at BAA, Railtrack and Arup.

Stephen Liddle – Executive Director
Stephen joined the Group Board in 1996 and has held responsibility for Osborne’s Homes, Construction and Property Services Divisions. He leads Osborne’s work on Public Private Partnerships and Osborne Developments.
Andrew Osborne MA (Oxon) ACA – Group Corporate Development Director
Andrew is responsible for group strategy, corporate affairs, corporate responsibility and sustainability and business development. He is a chartered accountant and has been on the Group Board since 2000. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Charter plc.
Gordon Shepherd BSc Hons ACMA - Group Finance Director
Gordon joined Osborne in 1999 and is a chartered management accountant. Gordon had been acting as Group Finance Director since April 2007 until his official appointment in January 2008. He has responsibility for the financial management and control of the business. Prior to joining Osborne, Gordon was a management consultant with AT Kearney Limited.
Phil Shortman RICS - Managing Director, Construction Division
Phil joined Osborne in January 2008 after seventeen years with Wates, where he was responsible for construction in London and the South East, the last four and a half of which were as Business Unit Director. Phil joined the Osborne Group Board in December 2008.
Richard Baldwin PhD BEng - Non Executive Director
Richard has spent 41 years in engineering and construction, including 13 years on the boards of APV and Alfred McAlpine. He holds a visiting professorship in Construction and Property Management at the University of Salford and is also on the boards of organisations in the health and education sectors.
John Oliver FRICS MCIOB - Non-Executive Director
John joined Osborne in 1973 and served on the Board as an Executive Director for 32 years until his retirement on 1 April 2007. He had Group Board responsibility for Construction, Safety, Quality and Environment.
David Hatton BSc ACA – Company Secretary
David joined Osborne in December 2004 and has responsibility for pensions, legal and company secretarial matters. He previously held similar positions with Simon Group and Kenwood Appliances.
